AUSTRALIAN SWIFT RACING SERIES ARRIVES AT PHILLIP ISLAND
Round 2 of the Australian Swift Racing Series hits the iconic Phillip Island Circuit for the first time ever. The other first for the series is the introduction of a one hour enduro race on the Sunday. Competition is sure to be fierce with Allan Jarvis (Achilles), Keishi Ayukai, Andrew Price (Race 4 Kids) and Ben Grice (Finance Ezi) all looking to take the lead of the championship from first round winner Luke Fraser (CLS Finance). The Shannons Nationals scholarship driver Callan Sayers will be looking for a solid showing at Phillip Island after having a tough start to the series at Mallala. With double points being on offer and a cast of young racers looking to prove themselves it could quite possibly end up as a 1 Hour Sprint Race.
Friday will see the driver's on track for practice. For many it will be the first time they have laid eyes upon the circuit in person let alone raced at Phillip Island. Throwing a further curve ball at the competitors, they will be racing alongside Evo's, WRX's, BMW's and HSV's as part of the Great Southern Four Hour. All of this combined will be sure to test the concentration of the young field of Swift Drivers. Tune in to the Nationals TV (http://thenationals.com.au/index.php?page=nationals-tv) on Sunday from 9.00am on 26 May 2013 to catch all of the actions from Round 3 of the Shannons Nationals Series.
