APCS FINALE TO STAR ON SPEEDWEEK
The 2016 Australian Production Car Series finale held at Sydney Motorsport Park will play a starring role on SBS Speedwweek in the weeks following the event.
An extended feature on the finale will be broadcast on a yet-to-be-confirmed date on one of Australia's most popular motor sport programs, which airs at 2pm (AEDT) on Sundays.
The program will also be replayed on Foxtel as part of the Shannons Nationals program, and will be available for ‘on demand’ viewing on the APCS website, the MotorsportsTV iPhone and Android apps, and the MotorsportsTV and Speedweek websites following its broadcast.
As always, the finale will also enjoy free live streaming on the Sunday of the event. This means that all four hours of racing for the APC finale - to be held on the morning of Sunday 13 November – will be covered live and free.
Category Manager Iain Sherrin said the news about the extended broadcast on Speedweek was great news for what was growing to be the biggest APCS event in recent years.
“We are expecting 35 plus entries for the finale, which will be the biggest field of our year and also the largest for national production cars racing in some time,” Sherrin said.
“No matter which way you look at it, this event is developing into a must-race for competitors and a must-watch for fans, and we can’t wait to hit the track in November.
“We are very pleased to announce this extended broadcast feature for the finale with SBS Speedweek and its affiliates, which will add to what is an already strong promotion program which features live streaming, on demand viewing, and specially-produced video segments by our own production team.”
The broadcast dates for the SBS Speedweek APCS finale feature will be confirmed shortly.
