LEGGE MOVES TO PORSCHE GT3 CUP
North Queenslander Roland Legge has teamed with Buik Motorworks to compete in the 2017 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
A great deal of deliberations led to the 19-year-old's move to compete in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, as he strives to make his mark amongst the ranks within the Porsche pyramid.
“Whilst Formula 3 gave me the foundation and a great experience racing open wheelers, after three seasons it was time for me to take the leap," Legge said.
"Driving behind the wheel of a Porsche with the support of Buik Motorsport was the next logical step and one of my aspirations."
With a collection of highlights and achievements including third in last year's Australian Formula 3 Premier Series, Legge is ready for some courageous moves.
Roland’s new team manager, Mark Buik of Buik Motorworks has known of Roland’s racing achievements, has witnessed the potential and is stoked to be working with Roland in building a strong competitive team.
The first round of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge coincides with the opening round of the 2017 Shannons Nationals, kicking off at Sandown Raceway on 7 April.
